Trekking can extend for more than a couple of days, and in such cases, the requirements increase. You can plan a hike the day, but you must plan for months or years for a trek.
When trekking in some locations, you may have the option to stay at small hotels along the way. In other remote paths, you’ll need to set up a camp. A hike is a relatively safer activity as compared to a trek. There are several unknowns, all of which cannot be determined and anticipated, which increases the risk factor. Trekkers usually navigate hostile terrains to reach far and isolated places. Hikers are not always exposed to this situation because of a certain amount of certainty to the action. Hiking requires one to be able to walk for long hours in a day.
